THE STORY.

I have spent a lifetime being asked about my name; why Gypsy?

The short version: my parents drove down to Ibiza in a VW in the seventies to spend one summer here, my mother pregnant with me, and they never really left. An Ibiza story.

I was born and raised in the San Carlos hills, my father is an accomplished photographer and my mother was a fashion designer. It was a lucky upbringing, it was free and creative. In a place that most people only get to spend their precious yearly holidays.

I have been a photographer on this island for over 25 years. I am known for my timeless natural wedding and portrait photography. Being one of the first before it became a popular global destination (to get married).

In between I have always photographed Ibiza and its beauty, being inspired by my big love for natural light, open skies and the unique colours of the island’s landscapes.

I am an observer more than anything. When you slow down and look, there really is beauty everywhere. Es Vedrà at the end of a winters day, the quiet of the campo with its dusty roads or a morning walking through Dalt Villa, our UNESCO protected old town.

This shop is my own favourite work from over these past 25 years, gathered in one place for the first time.

I am so lucky I can still call Ibiza home.

Every image in this shop is my own, chosen by me after half a lifetime of photographing the island I grew up on. That is the difference between a photograph of Ibiza and a photograph by someone who knows it.

Every print is made to gallery standard: giclée, on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm cotton paper, with archival inks. It is a matt cotton rag with barely any texture, chalky and smooth to the touch, and it holds colour gradients beautifully.
